After winning the 2010 British Fashion Council’s NEW GEN award for outstanding new designers (Alexandra McQueen was a past recipient), Atalanta Weller has once again created a collection that makes our heart skip a beat. Inspired by Louise ‘Lulu’ Brooks and early ‘90s polished punk, the AW Autumn/Winter 11’ collection features signature sky-high wedges as well as courts and boots that come in opulent lacquer animal print patents.
Weller uses a controlled colour palette of black and brown throughout the collection and mixes suede with leather and patent to create an amazing blend of texture. She introduces elegant gold heels and glamorous versatile fastenings to the eclectic design style of the collection.
We especially love the versatile fastenings that come in 3 shapes- Disk, Tassel and Cube (as seen below). These clip-ons are great for shoes that need the extra touch.
